6/7 I Scream, You Scream
Ice cream is my Achilles heel. I love it when I am happy. I love it when I am sad. I love it when it is hot outside and when its cold outside. In a bowl, in a cone, in an edible waffle bowl…seriously!!
Over the weekend I tried some vegan ice cream and made up a popsicle recipe that were out of this world! You must know by now…I would never lie about ice cream.
Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Popsicles
1 Box chocolate instant pudding mix (I used sugar free/fat free)
2 Cups cold milk of your choice (I used original almond)
2 Heaping tablespoons of peanut butter (I used creamy, but I bet crunchy would be outrageous)
1-2 Tablespoons of cocoa powder
Popsicle molds
Make it Happen
~Make the pudding according to the directions on the box
~Whisk in cocoa powder
~Pour nearly set pudding in food processor or blender. Add peanut butter and blend/whip until beautifully creamy and light
~Pour in to popsicle molds and put in freezer
~ Distract yourself for several hours as they set and freeze. (Hardest part)
Hoard them for yourself or share them with someone really, really deserving.
Review of Purely Decadent Dairy Free Ice Cream
The ice cream we taste tested was Purely Decadent Peanut Butter Zig Zag. (Note the peanut butter theme. Yum!) It made me want to cry it was so good. At first I wasn’t sure though, so I finished the pint to be certain. It is so creamy, chocolatey and peanut buttery, you should eat it hiding in the closet so no one tries to take it from you. If the rest of the flavors by Purely Decadent are as good as this one….I am hooked. I will try every last one of them and let you know.
Have a great day! Treat yourself to some ice cream.

I love Purely Decadent Peanut Butter Zig Zag! Did you try the soy version or the one made with coconut milk? They’re both delicious! You’re gonna love all their other flavors! Turtle Trails and Pomegranate Chip of amazing.

Thank you Julie for the flavor tip! We tried the soy version. Over the weekend we bought Praline Pecan, but have not yet tried it. If you go to their website http://www.purelydecadent.com you can fill out a survey and be entered to win ice cream for a year!! That is one contest I would like to win. Have you tried their coconut milk beverages? I am very intrigued by the coffee creamer.
