7/22 Lemon Thyme Cookies-Love Them
The Art of Good Food has created another masterpiece, a mix for Lemon Thyme Cookies.
Art of Good Food is a family business from Montana creating mixes for vegetarian/vegan soups, salad dressings, breadsticks and cookies. You add a minimal amount of ingredients to their mixes and they magically turn into something stunning. The packaging is minimalistic and features various works of art, making them a unique gift. All of their mixes are hand crafted in small batches. They use only organic and wholesome ingredients purchased from certified organic growers and suppliers.
To make the Lemon Thyme cookies I creamed one cup of vegan butter, added the mix, formed into balls and voila I was finished. Bake until the bottom is golden brown, the top will stay white.
You can taste both the lemon and the thyme. They are sweet and savory. They are a cookie and a biscuit. We tried them first as is. We thought they would be such a sophisticated hors d’oeuvre at your next soiree. They would be a show stopper with champagne. You would have to make a double batch. I ate two while I was photographing them.
For a different twist, I dusted them with powdered sugar.
They are dense and buttery and light and lemony. They were so easy to make that you would be remiss to not have 3 boxes in your cupboard for surprise guests or your next book club. The next time you show up to a party with these to share you will undoubtedly be accused of watching too much Food Network or taking a gourmet baking class.
I packaged some up and shared the vegan love with my friends and neighbors. It was my undercover activism. See how delicious being vegan can be?!
Our friends at The Art of Good Food have generously offered a 10% discount for all orders shipped in the US, on all of their products on their site: www.theartofgoodfood.com. Enter the following code at checkout: VEGAN10
The offer is good through March of 2011. However, I doubt you will want to wait that long. These cookies are amazing.
I have more of their products to try and share, so stay tuned for reviews of their salad dressing mixes and Glacier Park Pink Soup.
Have a delicious day.

I still can’t get over how delicious these were! I was thinking about how lovely they would be with a nice cup of chamomile tea. I can’t believe it was from a mix…so I’m super excited about that discount code!

I know. I LOVE them too. They are perfect in the summer, would be perfect throughout the holidays as gifts….I could go on.
The best thing yet is that the creator of The Art of Good Food is just a really nice lady that makes amazing mixes. They use the best ingredients to make high quality mixes that are easy to prepare. You cant really argue with that.

Thank you. I strive to become the vegan version of Sandra Lee. Keep it tasty, keep it sweet, keep it vegan semi-homemade.
The discount code is good for a year. This is also where the amazing soup and breadsticks came from. These are a must have for any pantry, but a bonus that they are delicious, organic and vegan. They make many more products. I have only tried the ones that are vegan so these are great for everyone!
