11/20 Vegan Lip Balm & Soaps
Hi my name is Sherry and I am addicted to lip balm. I don’t know when or how it began, but this is my reality. The tricky part is that even though my addiction is out of control, I am kind of particular about it. Over the counter balm wont appease the monkey on my back….it has to be great balm with yummy flavors or no flavor at all. It has to moisturize without too much gloss and stay moisturized for extended periods of time so I am not re-applying like an obvious addict.
I have found such a thing and I am excited to share it like a lip balm enabler.
Julie from the Bath Shack is handcrafting vegan lip balms and small batch soaps that you will want to tell your Secret Santa about. I tried the Vegan Lip Balm Trio which includes Almond Vanilla, Pink Grapefruit and Lavender Blood Orange. The balms are a fun oval shape that feels very different and luxurious. The scents are beautiful yet not over powering in smell or taste.
They are made with naturally beautiful things like Cocoa Butter, Shea and Hemp. The most inspiring part is that there are only five ingredients in the lip balms. You can pronounce them all and know for sure that they are cruelty free and beauty-full. The craziest part is the price. The Vegan Trio of Balms is only $8.00 and can be purchased through her Etsy site The Bath Shack.
I also had the opportunity to try the Oatmeal Earth Friendly bar soap. I was won over by the scent even before I had fully removed it from the box it was mailed in. The calming scent of almond oil, coconut oils and oatmeal is absolutely intoxicating in its simplicity. It is like vanilla scented night air wafting into your bedroom window on a sultry evening in Thailand. The bubbles are bubble bath worthy and it rinses off squeaky and clean. I am a strict shower gel kind of gal and this bar of soap brought me to the dark side of bar soap love. Julie’s vegan soaps are available on both her Bath Shack site and her larger site CT Soaps & Candles.
**On Monday I am going to announce the most colossal vegan give away ever that will include a bar of Julie’s shower craving bars of vegan soap**
Have a delicious weekend.

ALL of her products are truley amazing, not only because they are natural and handcrafted, but also very creative and at a great price. I have never seen anything like Julie’s products. She has a fanciful flavor for being original in every aspect!!

Jeni, we could have a lip balm support group where we bring different lip balms for everyone to fall in love with. Wait…that isn’t supportive is it?
If I realize that I have left the house without one I start (sweating and crying) trying to figure out where I can go to get a reasonable replacement for the time that I am out.

Vanessa, I completely agree. The products are luxurious on a budget and simply beautiful in their lack of superfluous ingredients.

My name is Mary Beth, and I am also addicted to lip balm. Sherry, you are talking about starting the lip balm ‘enablers’ group aren’t you? Ha, ha, ha! I totally understand the ‘sweating and crying’ bit. I guess I will have to add Julie’s balms to my wish list.

I haven’t tried these yet, but they sound good. I just have to find the most convenient online store.

I love lipbalm, if I leave the house without it I always double back to make sure I have it with me. My favorite is the Merry Hempsters vegan balm…I have never tried any other kind.

I carry lip balm like people with life threatening allergies carry EpiPens.
