2/10 Valentines For Veg Lovers
Exploits friends, I have the most exciting news…I have been invited to write for This Dish is Veg. It is an online news magazine sharing info about all things compassionately cool, edible, sustainable and veg interesting. I have been an avid reader and now have the opportunity to be a contributor. I will be sharing some of the Exploits articles with them as well as creating original content. This Valentines For Veg Lovers article below was published yesterday in TDIV. Enjoy. I asked Cupid for the falafel necklace, the Chai Chocolates and an all inclusive vegan adventure. I’ll let you know how that pans out.
Valentines For Veg Lovers
This year say “I love you” with a compassionate, decadent gift that is cruelty free and joyful. Here are a few finds from the veg-tastic to the sublime. I strongly advocate for treating yourself to something wonderful on Valentine’s Day because you are your own beloved. I also think it would be the perfect love overflow to gift one of these to someone you adore.
Vegan Chocolate Raspberry Voopee Pies
From Veganville Bakery
Veganville from Berkley, California stole my heart with their sinful baked goods. Gigi, owner and creator of the online vegan bakery is baking chocolate raspberry whoopee (she calls them Voopee ) pies shipped in a reusable artsy, heartsy black and red box. Gift them or hoard them.
Falafel Necklace
From Shay Aarons Miniatures
Wear and share your passion for earth friendly foods. This miniature falafel is handmade from polymer clay, is about 7/8 inch (23mm) tall and hangs from 19 inches of silver plated necklace. Each piece has been hand crafted with love and a daunting attention to detail by designer Shay Aaron. He refers to his store as a little grocery store. One visit and you will be tempted to leave with a bag full of one of a kind food lovin’ wearables.

A Donation to Farm Sanctuary in your beloved’s name
A gift of a donation says to me….I love you so much that I want to create positive change in your name. Together we are unstoppable…lets help save the world.
Farm Sanctuary started in 1986 as a fledgling, all volunteer organization that was funded by sales of veggie hot dogs from a VW van. It was founded to combat the abuses of factory farming and to encourage a new awareness and understanding about “farm animals.” Today, Farm Sanctuary has grown to become the nation’s leading farm animal protection organization, with hundreds of thousands of supporters. Farm Sanctuary remains solidly committed to their mission to end cruelty to farm animals and promote compassionate living through rescue, education and advocacy efforts.
Herbivore Cuff
From Baking Vinyl
Share it and wear it. This unisex cuff is upcycling a go-go. Each design is hand crafted from recycled materials and rescued vinyl records. It has a unique, aged appearance resulting from this handmade process. Each piece is coated and sealed with resin so it won’t get ruined if it gets wet.
Chai Tumeric Caramel Chocolates
From Rawclates
Savory met sweet and fell madly in love. Rawclates is creating truly inspired, one of a kind vegan and raw chocolate delicacies. Your 6 artisan pieces come wrapped in recycled packaging and a custom colored box.
It is very exciting to have another outlet and opportunity to share in this outlandishly, overwhelmingly fantastic vegan journey. I am glad we are enjoying it together. Have a delicious day.

Cool ideas! My fried gave me a very similar necklace from polymer clay. It looks like a miniature version of avocado, lettuce, tomato and onion sandwich. I absolutely adore that necklace! This falafel looks adorable and makes me hungry
