4/9 Having Class
Today we are teaching our second vegan cooking class at a local college. The theme is stunning desserts, dairy free. We are going to share how to create Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter and Banana Pie, Key Lime Pie and Dark Choco-nut Truffles. I love these recipes because they are simple to make and positively decadent to eat.
They are desserts for lovers of dessert and the kind of dish that you could bring to a family affair and never have to explain away your vegan delight. They are extraordinary in flavor…no one would be the wiser and you would have perpetrated the dairy free switcheroo. I love that.
Here is the dramatic finish for the class today, a producer is coming (we just found out yesterday) to film part of class because he wants to work with us to create a pilot for a vegan cooking show. Sandy had a meeting with him yesterday and evidently he has been dying to add a vegan cooking show to his list and there he was, meeting with Sandy on something totally unrelated. Serendipitous. Today’s class came up and they put two and two together. Seriously? Sounds like the beginning to a really fun success story. If I think about this too much I am going to become paralyzed in fear and desire so I am going to focus on showing people how to make compassionate desserts that taste great. That I can do. Please send out some vegan wannabe positive energy.

Karen,
Thank you. These are three of my favorite desserts to create because they do not disappoint and they are so easy to make.
