5/17 Smart Snacking
I found a new favorite snack from a company called Kaia Foods. It is organic, sprouted sunflower seeds in various flavors; I have tried and loved both the Sweet Curry and Teriyaki but they have several, including Cocoa Mole. Yum. Last night I sprinkled some of the Teriyaki onto our biggie salad and it added such a nice crunch and savory flavor.
Their thoughts on food as shared on their site, “Kaia foods was founded with the belief that our health is best supported by eating an abundance of minimally processed whole foods. We sprout, mix and dehydrate our organic foods at low temperatures so that they remain ‘raw.’ No baking, frying, bleaching, or weird processing steps!
I totally agree and am happy to have found their tasty edibles. They also make organic buckwheat granola, kale chips, sprouted pumpkin seeds and fruit leathers in crazy flavors like Goji Orange and Vanilla Pear. If you are already a fan of any of these, please share.
I love the Teriyaki sunflower seeds because they are satisfying like potato chips with significantly less sodium and all the benefits of noshing on sprouted, organic seeds. That feels like a great deal to me.
You can locate their products in a store near you from their site or you may purchase them online here.
We all love to snack so lets take the opportunity to snack on things that love us back.
Have a delicious day.
