11/4 Must Find Some
I have seen these nuts at least a half dozen times and have been intrigued. Their packaging is alluring which is a draw for me. I threw them in the cart this time. They are wildly delicious so I wanted to share.
Sahale has several nut blends to choose from, but I went right for the Valdosta Pecans. They are pecans spiced with black pepper and orange zest, paired with dried sweet cranberries. As you know from the Spicy Praline Cheesecake recipe I love spiced pecans but black pepper and orange?? Come on. They are like opening up a bag of crack cocaine. They could make you do bad things. They are sweet and slightly salty. They are crunchy and undeniably creamy.
You will find these evil and addictive snacks many places including Whole Foods and Walmart. Here is a link to the store locator on their site. You may also purchase them from their site here.
If you put these out at your next cocktail party, people will not leave until they are gone. If you cook with these people will come under your spell and become your minions. That is my plan.
If you have tried the other varieties, please share. If you are yet to try…leave now and find some. You will not be disappointed.
Have a delicious day.

Costco used to carry the Valdostas out here in WA/OR. We were happy, copping the 11oz size for just under $11. Then, they stopped carrying them. We then cleaned out Safeway’s supply. They told us they weren’t restocking them! We had a bit of withdrawl but finally convinced the local Fred Meyer to stock them. They already stocked most of the other varieties of Sahale Snacks, but not the pecans. But why? So on behalf of the Valdosta cult in our little town of Longview Wa, I went on a campaign, pleading to the powers that be, to carry Valdostas. They do now and we can stock up – until they run out, after a day or so. I did mention the cult, didn’t I?

Cathy,
That is SO funny in a scary addicted sort of way. I would do the exact same thing. My god why are they so good? Hi my name is Sherry and I am addicted to spiced Pecans. Way to take matters in to your own hands. Have you read about the Goodie Monster vending machine that sells Sahale snacks? Here is the link. I want one.
