1/26 Sandy’s Birthday Brunch Recipes
Today is Sandy’s birthday. We are going to scarf Thai food at one of our fave local restaurants, visit Cranbrook Institute of Science, experience a shiny new vegan restaurant in downtown Detroit called SEVA and squeeze in a micro pub crawl at two brew houses we have never been to before. She will crawl and I will drive. Without a doubt there will also be spontaneous merriment and debauchery. What she doesn’t know is that I have planned a surprise brunch for her on Sunday. We are having all of her favorites including hash browns, a Bloody Mary Bar and dark chocolate raspberry parfaits. There will be sweets and savories of all kinds. There will be more people than our home can hold and enough love to encourage all the wild flowers in all the world to spontaneously bloom. So, two things….I would like to share some of my favorite recipes with you from the upcoming brunch and I need your help. Do you have a breakfast bake, frittata or quiche recipe that you adore? Please, with vegan sugar on top….share the wealth of your info. The one I tried was inedible, yucky, a huge nightmare and not good enough for our Sandy.
