4/17 Going Greek
One of my favorite foods in the world has always been Tzatziki, the cucumber Greek yogurt sauce most commonly served with Greek food. I used to devour it with pita and on sandwiches of all kinds. I haven’t had it since we went vegan. I have not even tried to veganize it in my own kitchen and I am not sure why, expect for the fact that it is made with Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt has a very distinct texture and heft to it that regular, plain yogurt just does not have. I pushed it out of my mind as a forgotten joy because maintaining my vegany lifestyle means more to me than Tzatziki. But now, thanks to So Delicious Coconut Milk Greek Style Yogurt, I can have my veganism and eat it too. What a fun and amazing time to try and experiment with veganism!! It is like being at a carnival every single day with all of the new dairy free products coming out. They even seem to be getting better by the week.
So Delicious Greek Yogurt goes well beyond the descriptive nature of their name and bounds into spot on for texture and tantalizing flavor. I really enjoyed the vanilla. The soft, pure and rich flavor was of the authentic and slightly sweet vanilla variety. The kind of vanilla that tastes like it came from a bean and not a lab. The yogurt was round and full, very divine.
There are other flavors available but I have to admit, I am smitten with the vanilla for its taste and the plain for the opportunity to make vegan Tzatziki. Thank you So Delicious for making this so darn easy. Vegan Wannabes everywhere thank you. I have not made the yogurt into Tzatziki yet, but will share the recipe with you as soon as I’ve done so.
Here is a link to a recipe for a Creamy Fig Smoothie using the Vanilla Greek Yogurt. Yum.
Have a deliicous day.

Hi Aunt Sherry! I love Greek yogurt I have it almost every single morning for breakfast with some granola. I love Tzatziki on my food to. I bet you could make a great alternative to the real one using vegan ingredients. I would love to try that when you find out a yummy solution and when you post it I will be the first one to comment!

Hi Sherry! Thank you for the wonderful review! We’re so glad to know that you are really enjoying our Greek-style Coconut Milk Yogurt. It has become a staple in my own vegan home, and I use it in so many dishes, I don’t know how I ever managed without it! You’ll not only love using it in tzatziki sauce and raita, but it works beautifully in baked goods, too. We can’t wait to hear all of the creative ways you’ll come up with to enjoy it!

Hi Isabella, I saw online that Publix, Healthfully Yours and Peggy’s Natural Foods has the So Delicious Greek style coconut milk yogurt. You have to try it and let me know what you think. I had the raspberry Greek Style this morning with shaved almonds and it was divine. As soon as I rock out a vegan version of Tzatziki I will share the recipe. Yum!!
