11/19 On Our Way
We are in our rental car speeding through the Everglades toward St Pete Beach. We have been in the Stuart area (North of Palm Beach) for our nieces Bat Mitzvah. The past four days have been a much needed infusion of warm sunshine, nephew and niece adoration and time that has easily flowed without obligation. It has felt nourishing.
The day we arrived we were given a bountiful care package for our hotel room that had been made by Sandy’s sister and her family. In it were vegan muffins that our niece Isabella had baked for us. She had made them with coconut milk and applesauce then tested them on the rest of the family before we arrived. The muffins were such a hit that everyone in the family wanted them too. As soon as I can get her super secret recipe, I will share it with you. In our gift bag we also found bracelets for each of us that had been hand crafted by our nine year old nephew Ben. The bracelets were in pink and green, the colors of our half marathon. My heart is swollen past the width and breadth of my body with love for them. We are so, so lucky.
We are now on our way to St Pete Beach for our half marathon which is on Sunday. Between now and then we have a lot of sunshine to soak up, one last training run and much more Floridian vegan food to find and enjoy. I look forward to sharing it with you.
Have a delicious day.

Enjoy! It’s freaking cold here, so please soak up as much sunshine as you’re able to before you return. Wishing you the best of luck in your run. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy! Lots of hugs, Rob & Nancy
